My Boys!!!

I am so excited to have a few days with NO responsiblities to anyone. I leave in about an hour for Florida and tom'w cruise to the Bahamas. Why did I feel so sad putting Noah down for is nap. Maybe because I have never been away from him from for than 1 night maybe 2. Maybe because he seems to completely understand where I am going and who is watching him. He seems fine and excited and to spend time with his Daddy, Grandma and friends. And although I am SO blessed and grateful and can't wait to get on the rode... I am going to miss my boys!!!

"The Big Boat"

This past February we all went on a cruise together aka "The Big Boat". Noah had a blast and still asks to go to the Big Boat restaurant when we talk about going out to eat. Well this time around Mommy is getting to go with her friend for some girl time and some R & R. Today Noah and I spent the day playing together, going out for a "special treat" at one of our new favorite spots (Great Harvest Bread Co), hanging out the playground and reading tons of books. During lunch we had a heart to heart and I explained to Noah that Mommy was going on a trip and that he would be able to play a lot with Grandma, Daddy, Papa and Ty and Logan. He said "who you go with" I said "Auntie Sarah" he said "okay, where are you going". I responded in words I thought he would understand and said "The Big Boat" and just in Noah style he chimed in with "Oh you mean your going on a cruise!"
Not only is he sweet, beautiful, & funny, but he is so smart! Do I sound like a proud mama! Well I am!!!

Mr. Cheese

We are a no cable house and Noah has only watched a few videos about shapes, colors and letters and Happy Feet "The Penguin Movie" so our condo at the beach has 100's of channels and Noah found Sponge Bob! He kept calling it the Mr Cheese show. I guess the yellow thing with holes does resemble cheese. What was even funner was when we saw a little boy at the pool with Sponge Bob water wings and Noah said "Mommy he's wearing cheese". I did learn that Sponge Bob is not only odd but says some words that I do not want in Noah's vocabulary.
So sorry! No more Mr. Cheese!

Okay I am thinking he can tell us that he is not potty trained that it's time to be potty trained. I think it's mommy that's not ready to do the work!

Yes We PARASAILED!!

Once my mom arrived on HHI Phillip and I had some special date time, which included an awesome ride... Parasailing!!! I am not one for high adventure and would NEVER bungy jump or sky dive, I don't even like climbing a steep flight of stairs, but this was a blast. The view was beautiful. We talked it up so much that once my sister Elana arrived, her and my mom went out for their own ride. Definitely a must do if you ever get the chance.

Hilton Head 2008

Well we are back from almost 3 weeks of fun in the sun. There is so much to tell and so many stories. We all had a great time, building sandcastles, "surfing", swimming in the pool and ocean, riding bikes going to some great restaurants and going to see Noah's favortie "boy" singer Shannon Tanner (his favortie "girl" singer will always be Mrs Sullivan). Eating lots of snow cones, ice cream, shrimp, crab & of course french fries. Here are a few pictures - but look for more stories and some great "things Noah says".

Favorites these Days!

Everyday it seems like Noah does something or says something that I think to myself "I need to write that down, I should blog about that" Well here is my attempt to remember some recent events, quotes and Noah's favorites.

Noah prayers everyday before naptime and bed. His new routine is to make sure his head is bowed and eyes are closed and he always starts with "Father Thank - you for Mommy & Daddy who take care of me", yesterday he added "Thank - you for Aunt Elana who travels all over" - both true and both completely not prompted by Phillip or I.

Noah loves to save money (change he finds most anywhere) he says he is saving for Snow Combs (cones) at the beach and for Jesus. The beach has been all the talk these days since we leave in a few days. Noah tells us he dreams about sand castles, snow combs, the pool and sleeping in the big bed. Although I have told him many times we are bringing his pac n play.

Book - The Three Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
Food - Heart Cereal, PB & J, Chik-Fil-A
Toys - Lego, Cars
Games - Building Towers with Legos and knocking them down
Pass-times - Dancing, singing, playing any kind of sport - soccer and football
Werid thing - carrying around 2 rubber snakes that he got as prizes from swim school
Special Treat - Cookies at the big store (Publix) or cookies from Papa
Other stuff - playing under the sheets on the big bed aka the tent, going to any pool and playing with his dive sticks and pool toys
Color - Orange or green
Number - Seven
Craft - Using stencils and pencils

Overall Noah continues to be such a joy and have such a Happy Heart! Even when he is disobeying he comes around quickly finding his Happy Heart, putting on his listening ears really tight and putting on his thinking cap before he makes a choice that he knows will make Mommy, Daddy and God very sad! It is amazing to see him use his "isolation time" aka time-out to get calm and self-control as well as pray for forgiveness and help from God!
