Gymnastics School

Noah has had a busy season with swim lesson, Tumble Class, MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers Group), walks, and playdates. He has 3 more Tumble tots classes left (which he calls Gymnastics School). He was excited that Daddy was able to come this week and show off his skill. Noah loves a forward roll and anything that involves jumping. He is working on his backwards roll and is far from getting the concept of a kartwheel, but watching him try is precious. This week was the FIRST time Noah touched the high bar. Very exciting it most have had something to do with Daddy being there.
With all of our activity I am so excited for summer. Days of walks and swimming! I know I am looking forward to it and I think Noah is too. He has been doing so well at swimming and we are down to 1 lesson a week and hopefully all he has learned will transfer from "swim school pool" to our neighborhood pool!

Noah and Ryan Going for a RIDE!!

Kids say the funniest things!

Since I am working Monday and Tuesday evenings I am not home for dinner and bedtime routine. Although I know its good for Noah to have that QT with his Dad and for me to maintain my counseling skills as well as contribute to our families income, I miss my boys terribly. When I get home I usually ask for a play by play from Phillip as to what Noah played, did he go outside, what did he eat for dinner, who did he pray for, what books did he choose, etc etc etc. Tonight Phillip told me that Noah prayed for Joshua. I said oh Joshua (Diane H's son). Phillip said no Joshua who got a new potty. To laugh at this you have to know the book "Once Upon a Potty" where a little boy named Joshua gets a potty from his Grandma.
How sweet, Noah is praying for characters in some of his favortie books. Now my prayer is that he will use his Potty just like the little boy Joshua does in the book.

Picnic and Play on a Beautiful Sunday!

Here Eli and Noah are watching the big attraction the choo choo train and praying before diving into some PB&J

In celebration of such a beautiful weekend, Noah and several of his friends took advantage of the great weather and playground by spending the afternoon at the church playing and picnicking. Here are some great shots that Eli's Dad (Mr Eliason) took of the boys.

Pretty in Pink!

This weekend we helped celebrate our favorite princess's 1st Birthday party. All the Harper's including the men went with the princess theme wearing their princess colors. All the Harper men are handsome to begin with, but they are even extra handsome in their pink.

Tackle...

This weekend we enjoyed some amazing weather and some QT with our buddies.
While Tyler's mom and I provided a much needed service (a yardsale - you know what they say your trash is someone else's treasure), Noah and Tyler got to spend time playing football, doing "yardwork", playing trains, kitchen, watching " Miss Patty Cake" and laughing, lots of laughing.
I love that Noah has friends that he talks about, see's often and looks forward to playing with. He will continue well after the playdate is over talking about his friend what they did and their Mommy. I am so grateful that I love his friends and their Mommies and that he does too.

Grammy Spends the weekend!

Grammy (my mom) drove down on Friday and spent tons of QT time with Noah allowing Phillip and I to spend some special time together on Friday with an "ALL DAY into evening DATE".
On Saturday Noah got full attention from Daddy and Grammy while I attended the Leadership Summit for my MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers) group. I wasn't exactly looking forward to a Saturday away from my family since QT with them is something that I treasure. But in the end it was a great day with some great friends. Especially the laughter on the car ride home.
Stay tuned for pics since I know Phillip and Grammy took tons yesterday on the playground.

Getting Paid!

Finally after the debut in The Birthday Express Catalog (the photo shoot was middle of October 2007) Noah received his paycheck!! He is so excited to put it the bank and the "JOY" boxes at CCC!

Hotlanta!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the weather the last few days. Noah is really gearing up for summer and will have had 3 swim lessons this week. After swim class this week we have detoured to a playground before heading home for nap and lunch.
The afternoons are great! Noah has been napping much better falling asleep around 2 and sleeping until 4:30. With this amazing weather we head back outside and before we realize it it is 8pm. I love this time of year when it starts to stay light outside later and later. My prayers for neighbors with kids (THAT COME OUTSIDE) has been answered and either our front lawn or the playground is jumping with kids ranging from 2-12. So fun!!!

Today at swim Noah floated on his back the length of the pool (by himself)!! His new mantra is "floating is easy" (he really doesn't believe it or act like it, but the more he says it the more it seems like he believes it and will hopefully act it).

Tom'w Daddy will be home to spend time QT with us. Grammy is driving down from Asheville as well so Phillip and I can spend some QT together and celebrate my B-Day!
You'll have to research further to figure out what B-Day it is this year.

A brief update on my headaches: Chronic pain remains, but has improved to sometimes just "discomfort", Emotionally & Spiritually I feel very hopeful and encouraged and have I am thankful for my family, my friends, my Great and Awesome Heavenly Father who loves me!

By popular demand!

If you consider a few friends and Aunt Elana "popular demand" (which we do)
We have changed the Intro pic from the cupcake face to the smiling face on the choo choo! Enjoy. But because I like it, I moved the cupcake face here! And even another for good measure!

Noah's favorite Song

No it is not Twinkle Twinkle, Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABC, Jesus Loves me, or The wheels on the bus".

For those that go to Cumberland, It is... track 6 "Rescue" on the worship CD. I don't even know the artist, as far as Noah is concerned, It is Mrs. Sullivan aka Megan. It surprises me since it is a slower song, but he specifically says "Mrs Sullivan, slow song!" The moment we get in the car. I remind him how to ask. Then he responds. "Mommy may I please listen to slow song Mrs Sullivan? and answers himself quickly yes you may!" I am constantly reminding him that Mommy and Daddy answer and decide not him.

I have to smile since it is a beautiful song about how God's grace and love captures and rescues us and that nothing, no one or anywhere can compare.

This afternoon Noah played with his neighbors the "BIG" kids Faith and Mason who are 9 and 6. He had a blast and keeps up with them like a pro. I came in to make dinner and when Phillip brought him in after some more playing, he turned to me and said "He is a real kid" It's like he went from infant and skipped being a toddler and is now a little boy.

He is a BLESSING and JOY every moment even when he disobeys!
Here is a pic of a new "Big boy swing trick"

Catching up!

I have entered the world of Facebook and it is becoming a bit addicting. I don't want to neglect my blog and the adventures or Noah.
Today I have to admit was ROUGH! Ever turn Noah was whining and saying NO! and when I discplined him he immediately whined "DADDY!". He had several corrections throughout the day which is just exhausting. As soon as Phillip pulled up I "handed him" over.
We did have a great day this past Saturday enjoying the beautiful weather. We went to the choo choo with the slide at the Square Noah loves it and it was nice enough to pack our lunch. Noah brought his soccer ball and was great about sharing it... We work on sharing everyday so this is a huge improvement.
Noah has picked up the concept of "toe jam" it is hysterical yet a little gross at the same time. Every am and most diapers changes he will hold up his foot and say "clean my toe jams please". I think he likes the feeling of the cool wipe on his sweaty boy feet!
Noah's prayers at night have continued to become more meaningful as he understands that Mommy has a boo boo on her head and that along with us he has several friends that are praying for a little bro/sis. But without fail when he prays for his Papa he prays and thanks God for cookies too. These days they go together. And he certainly can't pray for 1 Aunt or cousin without praying for them all. It is precious. He also has a new toddler devotional book and he asks for it every morning and every bedtime. He points to it and says "that deboationals" of something like that.
Today we spent a lot of time at one of our favorite playgrounds and had a picnic. Any time to eat is a favorite of Noah's but a picnic is VERY special. After napping over at a friends we arrived home and had fun with our neighbors playing a combination of football, soccer, races and catch.

What do you think?

Should I change the crumby cupcake face pic???
